At The Faine House, gaining confidence and practicing independence is something our young adults expect to learn. They are here to gain necessary skills, often coming to us at one of the most critical points in their lives: when they’ve aged out of foster care and have nowhere to live.
Through stability and a culture built on responsibility, residents of the Faine House are given a chance to develop the mindset and skillset required to succeed as an adult.
Every program at The Faine House is designed with one objective: readiness. Residents participate in hands-on learning that mirrors real life, down to the finest details:
Most importantly, the residents are given a truly stable environment in which to learn these skills. They aren’t taught in a vacuum; they are reinforced daily through expectations, coaching, and consistent follow-through. We’re ensuring every young person who leaves this program is ready – mentally and physically – to enter society with confidence.
For donors, this is where your support becomes tangible: every dollar touches curriculum, coaching, and experiences that strengthen long-term stability.

The Faine House uses the Eight Dimensions of Well-Being as the foundation of our program design: emotional, physical, financial, occupational, spiritual, social, intellectual, and environmental.
This framework allows residents to grow in the areas most relevant to them:
Each pathway is personal and each milestone is made possible by donors who believe everyone deserves a fair chance at a happy, fulfilling life.
Our programming has been transforming lives for over a decade. It isn’t just about teaching; it’s about healing. When young adults develop confidence – the kind built through discipline, consistency, and achievement – everything else follows:
They begin setting goals. They begin making plans.
They begin imagining futures they once assumed were out of reach.
This shift is visible and this community has stepped up to ensure those most in need can build permanent resilience.

At The Faine House, progress is not always linear, but it is always possible. Residents arrive carrying heavy stories, and through structure and support, they learn something powerful: their past does not define their potential.
Your generosity fuels this transformation and your support means more to them than you can ever know. Learn more about the impact you’re making by visiting us! Hosting you is a joy; please contact Executive Director Ray Gaines to schedule a visit: ray@thefainehouse.org.
