CLOSE TO HOME

The Faine House Introduces Our First Multi-Unit Community

Since our founding, The Faine House has provided a safe environment designed to equip young adults overcoming traumatic childhood traumas with the tools, accountability, and support needed to build self-sustaining lives. Now, we are expanding with Close to Home, a purpose-built residential community on the three-acre parcel adjacent to the existing campus. Close to Home will serve as a next-level program for young adults who have completed their time on campus and are ready for the final transition toward independent living.

Close to Home is designed as a next-phase environment that maintains:

  • Stable, affordable housing

  • Clear expectations and accountability

  • Ongoing mentorship and life-skills support

  • Continued workforce and education advancement

  • A structured pathway toward full market independence

Participants are expected to increase savings, strengthen credit, expand career advancement, and prepare for permanent housing.

"Close to Home" is much more than housing.

“Most young people aren’t ready to live fully on their own even at 23 .Rent is expensive and support systems are shrinking. Even the most determined young adults can struggle to stay on their feet. 'Close to Home’ will be a bridge our residents need to build lasting independence.” - Jeff Faine, Co-Founder

The early twenties are a fragile transition window. Close to Home ensures that turning 23 does not mean starting over.

Why The Faine House Works

When young adults are given stability, responsibility, and the expectation to rise to the occasion, they do.

Residents are expected to work, pursue education or training,  and actively engage in their own growth.

In return, they receive safe housing, mentorship, transportation support, life skills training, and the time needed to build a sustainable future. It’s not a handout. It’s a partnership and it’s changing lives.
